Our Purpose

  • To insure the election/appointment of Democratic Women to positions of authority in all branches of government.
  • To promote the advancement of women in both the private and public sectors. 
  • To promote the fundamental principles for which the Democratic Party traditionally and historically stands – a government responsive and responsible to the people
  • To provide for the people, through its administration, the highest degree of justice and social welfare

  • To Encourage and Support Women Candidates
  • To aggressively support the campaign of nominees and the platform of the Democratic Party
 

Lancaster County Democratic Women's Association

Women's Club of Lancaster City-County was organized in 1928 and chartered in 1942 by the Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women.  LCDWA is also affiliated with the Lancaster County Democrats

Who can join?

  • Any registered Democratic who believes in our purpose and goals.
  • No age limit
  • Men are welcome to join as associate members

What are the Benefits of Membership?

  • Increased level of political awareness
  • Strength through numbers --- a bigger voice in state and local politics
  • Networking opportunities with democratic women and candidates, local and statewide
  • Participation in local and state political events, seminars and workshops
  • Our organization is affiliated with the Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women (PFDW) and National Federation of Democratic Women thus providing membership in both groups to all LCDWA members. 

You are invited to join LCDWA and make a difference in politics.  LCDWA meets on the first Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm.
