The Catherine Baker Knoll award sponsored by the Lancaster County Democratic Women’s Association to honor Pennsylvania’s First Woman Lieutenant Governor Catherine Baker Knoll; it will be presented annually in March “Women’s History Month” to a Democratic Woman living in Lancaster County based on the criteria listed as follows.
The nominee should have:
Held elected office in Lancaster County
Positively influenced her local community
Encouraged and supported other Democrats to enter public service
Achieved great political accomplishments without receiving much public recognition.
